What we do
Who we are
Wild Story Commons is run by Dr Joanna Gilar. Joanna has a PhD in fairy tales and ecology from the University of Chichester. She has lectured at Chichester and at Charles University, Prague, and currently works as a community storyteller, building projects for families and young people that strengthen communities via stories. She is passionate about inspiring young – and old – to discover the infinite wonder of the ordinary world.
A community space for the refinding of stories, storytelling choirs explore fairy tales from multiple voices and diverse perspectives to forge concerts of collective telling.
An online journal offering a space of conversation around the reforging, refinding and retelling of folk and fairy tale.
The Story Commons team is new and evolving. At the moment we
are made up of separate project teams, such as the Giant's Garden adventurers. Watch this space as we build connections and grow community, and if you'd like to be involved in any of the individual projects, or in the Story Commons as a whole, please get in touch.
